Just as the Media Center has done for ..media, the Games Explorer could do for games; evolved into a full-featured hub for everything related to gaming instead of just being a fancy folder..
* Renamed as the Game Center
* Be entirely navigable with a game controller
* Include quick access to audio controls, video hardware controls, saved-game folders, instant messaging, a mini web browser, and a global screen resolution setting that all Vista-compatible games would try to adhere to.
* Expose information such as Last Saved-Game Thumbnail, Highest Score, etc. from Vista-compatible games.
* Now that the Windows UI and DirectX are integrated, it should be possible to overlay UI elements onto a game's display at any time, so that by pressing a user-specified button [combination] on the game controller could bring up a quick panel for volume etc. from within a game.

Thanks, if done right, MS could even come up with a "Game Center Edition" SKU of Vista, but then who'll want an X-BOX ;)

They should release an internal Xbox 360 PCI card. 8-) It's just annoying having to turn the TV on or switch the monitor over and turn on another box, it should just be built into my PC and run inside Windows. 8-)
Oh well we can dream. ;-)
Yeah I was really impressed with the game explorer, I was just copying some shortcuts to it over the network to try and fill it up with stuff and was like WOAH when it started pulling down new images and data for them. 8-)

Please no! I find making special editions just annoying. Just integrate everything into standard editions like MS is doing with Tablet and Media Center editions into Home and Business editions. It just make the software more accessible to everone.
So... Windows Vista Xbox Edition... no no...
